At Miss Mable's the TEA not only represents the delightful brews served, but also Taste, Elegance, and Authenticity. Walking into Miss Mable's is a treat for the eyes as well as the pallet and you immediately become a unique diner -- Miss Mable's is the marvelous combination of English elegance coupled with Southern Charm.
The building itself, located at 301 West College Street, dates to pre 1900's and has a rich history. Originally owned by Miss Susie P. Hudson, the home was sold to H.S. Tomlinson in 1926. Mr Tomlinson owned and operated the Tomlinson Grocery on Main Street for many years. The current owners, Fay and Mark Davidson purchased the home in 1995. They had previously purchased the property which became Nana's Attic. Fay and her family set about bringing the house back to original period design and decor with the intention of sharing the elegant results with the area by creating Miss Mable's Tea Room. Ladies of all ages enjoy the dining experience at Miss Mable's, with a large assortment of hats and shawls made available for "dress up" if desired.
You will also find a beautiful assortment of unique gifts geared toward elegance as well as antique furnishings and fashion in the specialty gift shops located on the upper floor.
