Welcome! We're so glad you're here!
The history of the building itself, located at 301 West College Street, dates to 1897 and has a rich history. Originally owned by Miss Susie P. Hudson, the home was sold to H.S. Tomlinson in 1926. Mr Tomlinson owned and operated the Tomlinson Grocery on Main Street for many years. The current owners, Fay and Mark Davidson purchased the home in 1995. They had previously purchased the property which is Mrs.Pott's Consignment Shop Fay and her family set about bringing the house back to original period design and decor with the intention of sharing the elegant results with the area by creating Miss Mable's Tea Room. Ladies of all ages enjoyed the dining experience at Miss Mable's, with a large assortment of hats and shawls made available for "dress up" if desired for a 15 year period and in 2009 Miss Mable's returned to Antiques and selling Tea only. The near future holds big changes for the old house. We are in the process of moving the quilt shop into the 301 address and hope this solve a space problem for the quilt shop. We intend on classes and meeting space plus more matterial.
